Vishal Mehta (a 2nd generation family member), who is running Rosy Blue South Africa, along with Amish Mehta will lead the Israel operations of the Rosy Blue Group from October, the company said in statement. The new management team will come into effect from October as Dilip Shah has resigned from Rosy Blue Israel to pursue other opportunities in the diamond industry. Dilip Shah will leave Rosy Blue Israel by the end of September 2008.
The new management team will comprise of Anish Parikh, Asaf Magazanic,Aditya Shah,Steve Putterman. The new team will be backed by an experienced team of professionals, already well established within Rosy Blue Israel and Moscow.
"We would like to take this opportunity to wish him all the best for the future. Rosy Blue thanks him for all the years of dedication and energy he has put into building up the Israel business along with Amish Mehta," the company said in a statement.
While Vishal Mehta will continue to run the South African operations, both Vishal and Amish will be spending part of their time in Israel.
It is Rosy Blue's intention to re-position Rosy Blue Israel as the distribution hub for fancy shaped polished diamonds, which will include both Russian and South African polished. By doing so, the company will create economies of scale and establish necessary product synergies.
These changes stem from the Rosy Blue group strategy of customer-focus and the need to quickly adapt to changes within the industry.
