The Sixth Annual Meeting of the World Diamond Council(WDC) is set to open in Antwerp on 30 June. The two-day event is being hosted by the Antwerp World Diamond Centre. The theme of the Sixth Annual World Diamond Council Meeting is “Celebrating Five Years into the Kimberley Process.
Keynote speakers at the plenary session on 1 July include Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme, chairman and CEO of WDC, Eli Izhakoff; Avi Paz, President of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB); President of the International Diamond Manufacturers Association, Moti Ganz and Gaetano Cavalieri, President of CIBJO.
As many as 200 guests are likely to attend the meeting. The guests of honour will be MD of De Beers, Gareth Penny and Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karel De Gucht.
