The third edition of the Hyderabad International Gems and Jewellery Exposition (HIGJE) witnessed a record presence of local and international visitors. The exposition was visited by 20,000 visitors out of which 4,500 were business visitors. Visitants from Dubai, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Thailand gave a global touch to the fair.
The show was held at the Hyderabad International Trade Expositions (HITEX) Limited Exhibition Centre from 3 to 6 August. It was organized by HITEX Ltd (a public-private partnership initiative of the government of Andhra Pradesh and Larsen & Toubro Ltd) and Twin Cities Jewellers Association.
The show provided an ideal platform to showcase products, an opportunity to enhance networking at a pan-India level and a chance for jewelers to discuss and learn about new trends. The variety of products displayed by the exhibitors provided an opportunity for the visitors to select and purchase from a wide range of collections.
The exhibition featured 91 exhibitors from all over India, which included 33 percent from Mumbai, 30 percent from Hyderabad, 20 percent from Jaipur and others from various parts of India and the world.
The exhibitors showcased diamond, platinum, rhodium, loose gemstones, pearls and silver artifacts, white and yellow gold jewelry and Kundan jewelry.
The exposition was supported by Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS), Andhra Pradesh Gold Silver Jewellery & Diamond Merchants Association, Hitech City Jewellery Manufacturers Association and Hyderabad & Secunderabad Pearl Merchants Association.
