IGC to change its name to GCI

Staff, Aug 25 2008
The international group of gemological laboratories IGC - is in the process of changing its name to GCI (Gemological Center Inc) due to its expansion plans. The group is planning to set-up new laboratories in several new locations across the globe.

Company’s new vision is to bring their high quality, fast service and rational pricing to the markets of US, China, Dubai and other parts of the world. The group currently has established affiliates in Russia and India and has entered into a strategic partnership with TGL, one of the leading gem labs in Japan.

GCI will occupy modern quarters in New York's Diamond District and their lab will be stocked with the most advanced electro-optic equipment.

GCI will expand their services which they currently provide to their clients, both geographically and by opening additional gemological centers all around the world.

GCI's method is to achieve a unified grading system through which high supervision ability over the various centers would be possible. The group’s facilities are in compliance with the quality standard of ISO.
