Taché, an Antwerp based DTC sightholder sold its biggest stone for $6.21m at Christie's auction in Hong Kong on 28 May. The stone was 101.27ct and was known as a "Dawn of the Millennium". The stone is certified by GIA as VVS1-clarity, F-color.
The stone was manufactured by Taché into a unique shield-shape from 460ct rough, which was mined in Premier Diamond Mine, South Africa.
The stone is the largest gem that was ever auctioned off in Asia. It is also the largest colourless stone to appear on the auction market in last 18 years.
