IGI conducts Retail Sales Training Program at Joyalukkas

Joyalukkas announced commencement of a ‘Retail Sales Training Program’ for their sales staff across all India stores. The training was conducted by International Gemological Institute (IGI) on 29 June, 2009 at the Joyalukka’s showroom at Turner Road, Bandra Mumbai.

The ‘Retail Sales Training Program’ is a practical hands on training course which gives insights into the standards of diamond grading ,colored stone identification & effective sales techniques.

The course is focused on providing product knowledge involving topics like diamond formation, identification of imitations and synthetics, gemstones and pearl, types of jewelry, branding and market trends and most importantly reading and understanding reports.

The training programme also throws light on selling skills and management aspects, understanding customer demand better, window display factors, communication skills, important features on taking care of jewelry, etc.

IGI has been proficient in providing professional course in Gemology; owing to their vast knowledge and experience they have been able to devise many customized programs for the industry to educate the leading players in the industry and their teams.

Recently, IGI has been emphasizing on training the sales teams of all jewelers which in turn would help in educating the consumer on the quality they buy and have a better understanding of the 4 C’s.

The training helps build confidence of the sales team to interact better with the consumer, and help them make an ‘informed choice’.

Joyalukkas is very happy to conduct this course for their teams, as it is not only beneficial for increasing sales, but also helps them in attracting a more intelligent customer base and gaining optimum confidence in the market.

Speaking on this occasion, Ramit Kapur, General Manager IGI said, ‘Today the consumer is well informed about Diamonds and certification. They are aware of all terminology used in diamond business, therefore it becomes extremely essential to have good knowledge of the product. This enables the sales staff to sell with confidence.

The course is very well conceptualized which gives an equal balance of theoretical and practical aspects of diamonds and diamond grading’
