JCK India New Delhi 2008 commences

JCK New Delhi 2008 commenced today in Pragati Maidan exhibiting more than 200 exhibitors from across the globe. The show expects more than 7,800 visitors this year.

The show was inaugurated by Mike Alsopp, CEO of Reed Exhibitions, Moin Anwar, Director Customer Service and Farid A Redha-Kamostaji from Dubai Export Development Corporation, Mandeep Singh, COO of Reed exhibitions.

For the first time Dubai Pavillion is being exhibited at the show. Also GAPC (Gold Art Promotion Council) Pakistan’s gems and jewellers delegation is expected to visit the exhibition on 6 July.

Mike Alsopp started JCK New Delhi 2008 exhibition with a belief that the retail jewellery sector in India will be a major contributor to the economy.

India is the largest consumer of gold jewelry and third largest consumer of polished diamonds in the world. As a whole, India contributes about 4% of the global gems & jewellery market.
