When most retailers across the country are complaining about the dull festive season, Popley & Sons have reported an increase of over 30% sales during Diwali. Speaking to the media at the launch of Roma La Classica by Schwarz Etienne at their Bandra store Rajiv Popley said, “Economic slowdown has not affected our stores, we saw an increase of over 30% in sales during this festive season. The constant news about the slow down is affecting the buyers; they are becoming cautious however we have tackled this problem through effective advertisement.”
The group is planning to open two more outlets at the recently opened ‘Dubai Mall’ in Dubai. “We are looking forward to a good marriage season,” he said optimistically. He also revealed that they shall soon launch a jewellery website too.
